Early treatment with an ophthalmologist can improve the outcome and potentially shorten the length of treatment.

Did you know that ulcers come in many forms?

Treatment varies dramatically for each type and can range from just medications all the way to needing a surgery to repair the eye! Without the help of a veterinary ophthalmologist, what may initially seem like a simple problem can turn in to a serious situation in a matter of hours. They have special equipment and training to make it easier for them to identify what route of treatment is best. Don't hesitate to make an appointment if you notice squinting, redness, or discharge!
