We’re Animal Eye Specialists, an independently owned and operated veterinary ophthalmology practice in Plano, TX. We take pride in our high-quality patient care and supportive team culture—no corporate bureaucracy here!

What’s the Role?

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of general practice experience
• At least 2 years of hands-on anesthesia experience (must be comfortable monitoring patients solo in surgery)
• Willingness to cross-train -we all help each other out here!
• Must be comfortable with venipuncture/IV catheter placement as well as gentle but safe restraint.
• No previous specialty experience? No problem! We’ll train you in ophthalmology!

Ideal Candidate:

• Self-motivated, reliable, and a team player
• Kind and compassionate—great with both pets and people
• Quick learner with a genuine interest in veterinary ophthalmology
• Comfortable handling client communication, surgery prep, patient monitoring, and diagnostic testing
• Willing to rotate on-call for emergencies (with additional pay!)

Our Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 8 AM - 5 PM
Friday: 8 AM - 12 PM

Animal Eye Specialists is looking for a full or part time, board certified ophthalmologist to join our busy, growing practice in Plano, Texas (North Dallas area).

Our office is located in thriving Plano, Texas. We are a privately owned practice with a friendly, laid back atmosphere and a focus on providing compassionate, consistent and exceptional care. Our clinic is fully equipped and we have an established caseload – and we are growing! Animal Eye Specialists was established in 2011 and is well respected throughout the metroplex.

Our practice values honesty, compassion, trust and loyalty. These attributes have allowed us to rapidly grow and expand our practice. We maintain an excellent work/life balance and have outstanding staff – they are efficient and hardworking and such a pleasure to work with! Our ideal candidate is dedicated, has excellent communication skills as well as attention to detail, has a dedication to lifelong learning and collaboration, and has an interest in growing the practice (buy in potential). The work schedule is flexible and four days/week is considered full time. We work hard and have fun doing it – but leave work on time – because life balance and family time are priorities!
